Hello! My name is Carol Mortara. I am a multidisciplinary designer that began my career as a visual communicator, developing a keen eye for visual storytelling.
Over time, my curiosity expanded beyond traditional design, leading me to explore Biodesign, material research, and how these areas intersect with sustainability
and health. This shift broadened my perspective, inspiring me to approach
design not just as a creative tool, but as a means for addressing social,
political, and environmental challenges.
My work today is centered around the idea that design should transcend conventional boundaries, integrating scientific inquir and creative exploration.
I am particularly focused on regenerative and sustainable practices that promote both human well-being and environmental balance. Health, specifically integrative health, has become a key area of interest to me, in which I explore how design can support preventive healthcare.
Throughout my projects, I investigate the intersections between material
research, sustainability, and design, aiming to reimagin and reshape current systems.
